The oldest barbers in West Malling (and that’s not just Phil), we’re known for our empathetic approach. Our team are skilled in working with all age groups, and is particularly experienced with sensory issues and special needs.
Our accessible, airconditioned salon is at the heart of the community in West Malling, where you can expect expert advice and a consultative approach.
Our online booking system is there to save you time and a wasted journey, as we’re fully booked most days.
Our staff (both employed and self-employed) take pleasure in their work, enjoying the atmosphere and spreading that feeling to all those who visit us.

Phil
Despite his youthful good looks, Phil’s been barbering for almost 40 years.
Even now, he still gets a buzz from the challenges that working in a barber shop brings.
He loves the job as much, if not more, than the day he started, and continues training and seeking out the latest cuts. Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?

Carl
Self-employed barber
Carl worked in a high-end, consumer-led industry before this and brought the customer care skills learnt into barbering. He prides himself on all aspects of the job.
Carl has always loved the ability to change a person's appearance (for the better) and has been cutting hair for many years - way before he was even qualified.
Rachel
Barber
Qualified in 2004, Rachel has worked in the industry on both mens' and ladies' hair.
She has trained with both Tigi and Goldwell - but says that Barbering has been the best part of her career. Rachel’s patience is highlighted by her many, many years working with us at Bush.
Nicole
Barber
Almost 15 years in the trade, Nicole has also trained with both Tigi and Goldwell, but obviously prefers the Bush way!
She loves the confidence that meeting so many people has bought her over the years .
Kelly
Barber
Kelly’s been cutting hair for 25 years and gets her kicks connecting with people - she finds the conversations one of the highlights in barbering.
Beyond the salon you'll find her immersed in a world of music, festivals, yoga and walking.
Rosie
Barber
Over 10 years of experience in men and women’s hair. As ex cabin crew she likes to bring first class service to everything.
She loves speaking with new people and finding out their story and is always learning new barbering skills and techniques to keep fresh.
Outside of work she enjoys family time, sunsets, sport, travel & food.

We cater for any level of hairy.
Booking is essential, to avoid disappointment as we are a very busy salon. And if you’re thinking of a drastic change, please make sure you book a ‘restyle’ as it gives us plenty of time for your consultation.
Please note - we use foils instead of straight-edge razors, for hygiene and convenience, while maintaining a nice, close finish.
